This artisan-made, traditional-style matching three piece shaving set is made of beautiful Black Cherry with burl and features:
- A handcrafted shaving brush with a 24mm Best badger knot with a 52mm loft. The overall height is 114mm / 4.5″ (4 1/2″) and the weight is 60g / 2.1 oz.
- A handcrafted safety razor handle with a closed comb head that has a gun-metal finish and is 108mm / 4.25″ (4 1/4″) long and weighs 56g / 1.97 oz.
- A beautifully handcrafted stand with a gun-metal finish that is 127mm / 5.0 (5″) tall with an approximate 9cm / 3.5″ (3 1/2″) diameter base.
Best Badger knots are made with the finer and more pliable hairs from the back of the badger’s body. The hair is light to dark in colour with no distinct black/white band appearance. It is more densely filled with hair than the Pure Badger brush and will produce a correspondingly greater lather. The natural tips are softer than Pure Badger, making it the best value in terms of softness for your dollar!
Black Cherry is a local wood to Eastern North America. We harvest our Cherry in the Hants County area of Nova Scotia. The heartwood has a light pinkish colour when first cut and darkens to a medium reddish brown. The wild figure of the burl portions of the shaving brush is astounding!
