The White Ash used to make this beautiful shaving brush is native to Eastern North America and we harvested this piece in the Hardwood Lands area of Hants County in Nova Scotia. White Ash is a light to medium brown colour, has beautiful grain contrast and is commonly used in tool handles and baseball bats where durability and toughness is desired. This makes it a great choice for a shaving brush!
The reddish-brown and white colour of the synthetic Red Panda knot is quite unique but the outstanding feature is its ultra-thin fibers that make it both dense and very, very soft. A great choice for face latherers!
